Spiritual fitness is
different for everyone
holistic, practices and tools that help you stay connected to your sense of self and purposeful living
much like physical fitness, it’s something that requires maintence, should be tailored to your unique body and abilities, is there to support you through challenges, and will change over time. stretching daily helps us develop flexibility that aids our healing if we happen to get injured.
a sturdy foundation for when we experience highs and lows
can act as a compass, especially in times when we can only see a few feet in front of us
it has many practical benefits like increasing our quality of life and overall happiness
a stable foundation you can lean on when navigating difficult chapters of life, feeling unmoored, changing parts of yourself,
examples of spiritual fitness tools:
-a set of core daily practices that are self-compassionate, simple, and sustainable (drinking water, going for a walk, getting outside, connecting with a friend)
-compiling a list of people you know you can call when you need emotional support
-writing short gratitude lists at the end of every day
-practicing prayer and meditation
-developing a relationship to spirituality
